Delivered At Place (DAP) is a shipping term under Incoterms® 2020 that defines the seller’s responsibility to deliver goods to a named destination, ready for unloading. The seller is accountable for all risks and costs associated with transporting the goods to that location, but not for unloading. This term can be used across all modes of transport.

Free Alongside Ship (FAS) is an Incoterm that places specific responsibilities on both the seller and the buyer in a shipping transaction. Under FAS, the seller delivers the goods to a designated port and places them alongside the buyer’s vessel. This means the seller’s responsibility ends once the goods are alongside the ship

Incoterms are shortened for International Commercial Terms, Such as EXW, FOB, CIF, and others define the responsibilities of buyers and sellers in the shipping process, ensuring that both parties understand who is responsible for transportation, costs, and risks at various stages.
